my teenagers are off for the summer; they are excited about starting their own business. I’m glad to help, but am looking forward to the chance to read the truth (i.e., not marketing hype!) about how to approach ebay as a retail outlet for a variety of products — from selling excess but highly regarded audio equipment (e.g., an old MacIntosh MX110 preamp/tuner) to reselling assorted collectibles.

Any honest thoughts are appreciated. I’ve told them it is a tough road, and that some find a profitable niche and some don’t; it’ll teach them some life lessons, something about retail, economics, honest and dishonest vendors, etc. Your input would be sincerely appreciated. We’re looking for replies that are substantive, not soundbytes … integrity is crucial at this point
