niche marketing examplesHello, I want to take a few moments and talk to you about niche market research.  We hear a lot about how researching niche markets involve tons of data and pouring through google search records.  What is wrong with that?  Well, nothing – except that by the time there is enough research material available to discern a new niche, it is already full of other internet marketers who have somehow beaten us to the punch.  How is that?

I believe that you can use your intuition plus a little bit of data from Google Trends to find the next hot niche.

The blueprint for intuition based niche market research is very simple:

  1. Google Trends
  2. GoDaddy Domain Search

What I want you to do – and I go through all of this in the video below – is visit Google Trends and study the hot searches for the day.  You can actually go back and look at the hot searches for any past day.  Often there is nothing there for you to use… but every once in awhile you can hit a home run!

The example that I am using is that on February 19th there was a huge spike in searches for the phrase “Loch Ness Monster.”  By digging a little deeper I discovered that some kayakers in London had photographed what they called a Loch Ness type monster.  They were calling this new monster “Bownessie.”

So I went to GoDaddy.com and looked up “Bownessie” in the domain search.  At that time the .org, .net, and .info was still available.  By the time I made the video below, the .net was gone.  Does that tell you anything?

I know that visitors come to this site for Niche Marketing Examples and so I want to do my best to provide this for them.  Niche Marketing Examples help illuminate the way to finding your niche market – and that is exactly why I have created the video.

Niche Marketing Explained

niche marketing examplesMy friends, I am going to be completely honest with you:  I love researching niche markets.  I enjoy it.  I relish in it.  To me it is great fun.  Seriously. I think that maybe this is because for the longest time I just couldn’t do it.  I tried, but I was lost in the sea, and the sea she is google!  Ha.

I studied every course, purchased every program, bought every tool.  It was probably information overload, but I kept reaching for the brass ring – and every time I thought that I had caught it, I opened my hand just to realize that the ring was made of tin.

For a very long time I was an eBay powerseller who dabbled in internet marketing.  Now I am an internet marketer who just happens to be an eBay powerseller as a hobby.  I build websites around specific product market niches that I uncover.  I incorporate a few ads… Micro Niche Finder and I slowly build my websites individually.  I pride myself on providing quality sites full of relevant information.

Obviously there is a formula that I use to uncover hidden niche markets.  I also use a program (Micro Niche Finder) that I purchased.  The program is not absolutely necessary, but it honestly does take all the guesswork out of niche marketing.  It doesn’t matter if you are writing articles as an affiliate or building websites to sell products.

I will give you an example from right now:  the phrase “find market niche” gets about 3000 searches a month (broad) and the estimated cost of an ad is almost a $1.00 and the SOC is a 3 (strength of competition – lowest is 0, highest is 1000).  Now I know what you’re thinking, “That isn’t a spectacular niche.”  And you would be right, except that the .com is (was) available and the competition number is only 84.  Normally competition can be numbered in the hundreds of thousands – just see my next example…

My next example:  “niche marketing internet” gets about 3600 searches a month, adcost is almost $6, the SOC is 13, and there are approximately 493,000 competing pages. This is also a quality niche that can be slowly built into a steady, consistent (small) income.

I did use Micro Niche Finder to uncover these two quick examples. I just entered “market niche” into the search bar and let the program do what it does best – uncover market niches. :)

If you would like an example of the power of this program, feel free to reply with a root word and I will see what I can find with Micro Niche Finder. Until then: happy hunting!

Finding Your Internet Niche Market

Finding your internet niche market depends on whether you wish to use broad marketing techniques or small very precise marketing techniques.

Both techniques will bring viewers to your website, but the difference is that the broader marketing techniques will bring more viewers, but chances are your site may not be exactly what they’re looking for, whereas small precise marketing will bring fewer viewers to your site, but they’re far more likely to be interested than the viewers that broader marketing will bring in.

For example, a broad marketing approach is advertising “weight loss” on your website, whereas a small and precise marketing approach would be “weight loss using a fruit based diet”. The difference is how much detail you put into it. The more detail means the more precise which means that you’ll get less viewers, but more who are directly interested in your weight loss using fruit method. If you just use weight loss as your approach, then you’ll get many viewers looking to lose weight, but those viewers might be viewers looking to lose weight on a carbohydrate based diet.

It’s all about what approach you wish to take, both have their advantages and disadvantages. Generally though people choose to use smaller precise methods because with broad marketing, as many people do it, it can be harder to actually stand from the crowd and bring a lot of traffic to your site. At least with using precise marketing, you know the people visiting your site are most likely quite eager to buy!

What is a niche? A niche is a distinct or specific segment or area of a market. What is niche marketing? Niche marketing is a commodity or specialized and profitable product being part of the commercial market, which is a market that is narrowly targeted, and which has a high demand when searched.

There are thousands of examples out there on niche internet marketing. Yet not only the internet has marketing niches, there’s marketing niches on the radio, TV commercials, billboards, and magazines. A great example of a highly popular market niche is the iPhone by Macintosh offering a camera, phone, web browser, music library, GPS, gaming, etc it offers a phone and a mini pocket sized computer in one, thus targeting on the go business people, yet it provides individual products for other segment markets.

The internet has much software to help you target specific niche markets, you can find these software’s for purchase on websites such as ebay.com and amazon.com. These two websites are also part of niche marketing, eBay offers an array of items for you to search for, from things of nail art gems all the way to books, and shoes, as well as cameras and mannequins. As to with Amazon, they also allow their users to search for an array of items yet they are mostly known for marketing books and CD’s, that is their higher niche market.

When you are starting a niche market you must keep in mind the following strategies if you want to succeed and dominate your niche market. These three simple strategies will help you dominate your niche; meet their unique needs, say the correct thing, test the market. Now it also depend on what kind of segment market you would like to target and what type of demand you would like to receive. The more specific your niche the smaller the market area for the general population but the higher the demand for those look for your specific product. As to if you made a more general statement of niche the higher the demand with the general public yet the smaller the demand for what your specific niche is based on.

Therefore; to dominate you niche market keep in mind meeting your targets unique needs, saying the correct thing when marketing in order to capture your targets attention, and test the market first in order to make your market niche unique and the sought for out there. Market niches are a great and easy way to obtain profit, you just must b creative in your marketing skills and you shall dominate your niche market!
